Indigo Gaia Tapestry
Batik is a traditional Javanese fabric dying technique that uses tiny wax pens to draw images and resist dye. Each of these tapestries is hand waxed and dyed with organic indigo dyes.
It’s sustainable because after the pigment has been extracted all the water used in the process can be put back onto crops and even the indigo provides some fertilizer once composted.
This tapestry measures 42 x 54 inches.
